Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what happens (and doesn't happen) with your data when you use JSONFormatting.org.
Every formatting, conversion, and generation tool on this site runs entirely inside your browser using client-side JavaScript. The JSON, text, files, or other content you paste or upload into any tool on this site is never transmitted to, processed by, or stored on our servers. We have no visibility into what you type or paste.
We do not require accounts, logins, or registration for any tool. We do not collect the content you enter into our tools. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information through the operation of these tools.
This site itself does not set functional or tracking cookies. However, this site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and to measure ad performance. This is standard behavior for AdSense-supported sites and is governed by Google's own policies, not by us directly.
You can learn more about how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices.
We do not currently use a third-party analytics service on this site. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated to describe what's collected and how it's used.
Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information for security and operational purposes — such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps — as part of standard web server operation. This is separate from, and unrelated to, the content you enter into any tool, which never leaves your browser.
This site is not directed at children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Given that we do not collect personal information through the operation of our tools in the first place, this risk is inherently limited.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data collected about you, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Because we do not collect or store the content of what you use our tools for, most of these requests would concern data held by our advertising partners (see Section 3) rather than by us. If you have questions about data practices specific to Google AdSense, Google's privacy resources linked above are the authoritative source. You're welcome to contact us with any privacy question at contact@jsonformatting.org.
This site may contain links to third-party websites (including documentation, standards bodies, or resources referenced in our educational content). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
Since tool content never leaves your browser, there is no server-side transmission of that content to secure. Standard HTTPS encryption protects the delivery of the site itself between our hosting provider and your browser.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect a new feature, a new third-party service, or a change in applicable law. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
